Head of Schools
Kelsey Kopro joined Brilla College Prep in 2013 as the founding Director of Community and Culture, charged with establishing and implementing the vision for school culture and family engagement. She was promoted to Assistant Principal, and later Head of School, leading Brilla's flagship campus. She now serves as Head of Schools for Brilla's three campuses. Prior to joining Brilla, Kelsey spent four years as a 5th grade math teacher at Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate, an Uncommon School, while also serving as the school culture lead and an instructional coach. Her first two years were taught under the umbrella of Teach for America as a 2009 Corp Member, during which she also received her Master’s degree in Education through Hunter College, Teacher U. Kelsey completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Leadership Development. Originally from Lawrenceville, GA, Kelsey enjoys outdoor activities, football, and traveling.
