MaryJane Plote is member of the 2017-2018 Seton Teaching Fellows cohort. A passion for social justice and service brings her to the South Bronx from far-West Texas. She serves as a fourth grade fellow, assisting with classes at Brilla College Prep Elementary. Ms. Plote is a 4th grade catechist for El Camino catholic faith formation program. Ms. Plote is a graduate of the University of Dallas, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Pastoral Ministry. Having attended a public option elementary school herself, where she learned Spanish and German fluently, she is excited to be part of the innovative approach to education at Brilla. In her free time, Ms. Plote loves to watch movies and explore the historic sites and museums in New York!
